Air curtain incinerator project goes up in smoke after neighborhood fought back


HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla.  — A proposed air curtain incinerator (ACI) project was withdrawn after individuals residing in Lutz voiced their considerations Thursday, saying the project wasn’t welcome in their neighborhood. Friday, the corporate behind the ACI withdrew the plan.

According to the Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County, Louis Geraci LLLP withdrew its software for the proposed ACI project. The neighborhood assembly scheduled for August 23 has been canceled because of the withdrawal.
