Adnan Sami OPENS UP about iconic songs being recreated in Bollywood films; ‘Everybody wants to play safe’ [Exclusive]

Singer music composer Adnan Sami is again along with his new single Alvida after a protracted hiatus of two years. The peppy observe touches completely different sorts of feelings resembling lovepainsuffering or a way of eager for family members. While the Padma Shri awardee could be very proud of the form of response he’s getting from music lovershe feels that the present state of affairs of music in the Indian movie business has been unlucky.

Calling out the imbalance of extra remixes than creation of authentic music in the businessAdnan very candidly informed us”The things is that nothing can beat originality. Recreations are not a new phenomenaeven in the 90splenty of remixes have happened. But during those timesoriginals were being produced at a much higher frequency. Todayespeciallythe music in the film industryremixes are often put together because everybody wants to play safe. And because of thisoriginals have become much less. So this imbalance is unfortunate.”

“But I feel movies are paying less attention to music since original songs aren’t being produced so frequently. Earliermovies used to have 8-10 songsnow they have cut down to 4 5 sometimes they don’t even have a song you know. Actuallyit were the film producers who used to demfor more songs from musicians previously. Right nowthe music industry is slowly moving into an independent zone. And the truth is no music composer wants to deliberately constantly come up with remakes. They are doing it out of compulsion or demfrom today’s film producers. So I think when music composers would start doing music indepedentlythey would be able to make far more original work that is a good thing. And I thinkthis whole thing with time will start to reduce itself it will be healthy also,” he defined.

When we requested Adnan the place does he attracts inspiration for his music fromthe singer-composer revealed”All my independent songs that I have done in my life so farincluding Alvidathey are in many way autobiographical. They are about my own personal experiences of life. And I try to manifest all that express through my music. In my lifeI have gone through many different forms of breakups or parting of the wayswhether it was a romantic breakupor other people in my life. In 2009I lost my fatherthat was one of the most difficult Alvidas of my life. So I wanted to create a song that would address all these different feelings of minethe painthe sufferings that I went throughwhich I thought would be relevant for people out therebecause we all go through these situations in our own ways.”
