Texas A&M AgriLife Extension hosting conferences in Canyon, Amarillo


Two conferences are developing this week hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife in the realm.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service workplace in Randall County will conduct the annual Producer Pre-Plant Meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 25 on the Kuhlman Extension Center, 200 N. Brown Road in Canyon.

“The pre-plant conference is extremely valuable for our producers,” mentioned J. D. Ragland, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension agricultural and pure sources agent for Randall County. “Producers can learn about the results of last year’s studies and trials, as well as hear about management decisions that can increase profitability this season.”

The meeting Jan. 25 in Randall County is scheduled to address pre-plant management decisions.

The program is free with sponsorship from Happy State Bank. Texas Wheat Producers Board is sponsoring the midday lunch. Attendees are requested to preregister by 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23 by calling the AgriLife Extension workplace in Randall County at 806-468-5543.
