6-Year-Old Drowns After Vehicle Gets Swept Into Flood Water In Adair County; Authorities Searching For Driver

A 6-year-old drowned after a car was swept into flooded water Friday evening in Adair County, in accordance with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred at round 8:48 p.m. on County Road 4643 close to Stilwell, Okla., in accordance with OHP.

Troopers mentioned the 43-year-old driver was touring northbound after they got here to a low water bridge with water over the roadway.

The driver tried to cross the flooded bridge when it was swept into the water.

The 6-year-old sufferer was pronounced useless on the scene, in accordance with OHP.

Troopers mentioned the 14-year-old and 9-year-old passengers had been transported to Siloam Springs Hospital and have been handled and launched.
