MEXICO CITY — The collapse in central Mexico of a 50-foot (15-meter) tall phase of scaffolding on a street challenge killed 5 workers and injured 3, officers mentioned Sunday.
The workers have been pouring cement into an enormous shape on what looked to be a freeway keeping wall, when the shape and the scaffolding gave means Saturday, plunging the workers to their deaths in a tangle of steel and rainy cement.
The Transportation Department mentioned the coincidence took place in the central state of Hidalgo, and that every one workforce at the website online have been pulled from the rubble.
The construction was once being constructed via a non-public contractor, and investigations have been underway into the reason for the collapse.
