Two men from Winter Haven that pled no contest to a slew of fees that included sexually abusing an 8-year-old have obtained multiple life sentences.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office stated David Lavin Jr., 30, obtained 27 life sentences to be served consecutively. Harrison Egbert, 33, obtained 4 life sentences which may also run consecutively. Both men are designated as sexual predators.
PCSO stated the 2 men have been arrested in 2021 as half of an undercover youngster pornography investigation.
PCSO detectives searched Egbert’s house in September 2021 after they obtained a tip. In the house, PCSO stated detectives discovered greater than 1,000 movies and pictures of youngsters as younger as two years outdated being sexually battery.
At the time, PCSO stated Egbert confessed to sexually abusing three younger women, aged 5,7 and eight on the time. He instructed detectives he recorded and photographed the abuse with the assistance of Lavin, PCSO stated.
He additionally instructed detectives, in keeping with PCSO, he seen “thousands” of youngster porn photos, together with some that depicted infants, on SnapChat and Instagram.

In May of 2022, Egbert pled no contest to 2 counts of sexual battery by a suspect over 18 on a sufferer underneath 12, and two counts of lewd molestation by a suspect over 18 on a sufferer underneath 12.
On August 22, Laving pled no contest to 21 counts of possession of youngster pornography, 4 counts of sexual battery by a suspect over 18 on a sufferer underneath 12, one rely of lewd molestation, and one rely of selling a sexual efficiency by a baby.
Both men will serve their sentences within the Florida jail system.
