170 lbs of cocaine worth more than $2 million discovered in man’s house

A 54-year-old guy has been arrested after police mentioned they searched his house and located roughly 170 lbs. of cocaine.

The discovery took place early on Saturday morning when government from St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office in LaPlace, Louisiana — roughly 30 miles west of New Orleans — started an investigation on the LaPlace house.

“On Saturday, September 9, 2023, officers began an investigation at the LaPlace home. During the course of the investigation, packages of cocaine were discovered,” learn a commentary from St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office launched on Monday. “About 77 kilos of cocaine with a street value of about $2 million were confiscated.”
