Yello Belly shooting: 2 injured at Grand Prairie drag strip



Dallas County deputies have been dispatched shortly after 11 p.m. to a report of a capturing at Yello Belly Drag Strip.

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — Two folks have been shot at a drag strip racetrack in Grand Prairie on Sunday evening, officers stated.

Both victims survived the capturing and have been listed in secure situation, although extra information on their accidents was not but out there Monday morning.

No arrests have been made.

Dallas County deputies have been dispatched shortly after 11 p.m. to a report of a capturing at Yello Belly Drag Strip within the 4700 block of East Main Street in Grand Prairie.

When they arrived, they discovered two males have been shot, in keeping with a news launch from the sheriff’s workplace.

Witnesses advised deputies that the shooter was final seen in a wooded space east of the drag strip. As of Monday morning, the shooter was nonetheless at-large.

Deputies decided the capturing was an isolate incident and there was no menace to the general public.

Yello Belly is positioned in an unincorporated space of Dallas County, although it’s surrounded by Grand Prairie. The monitor hosts racing on Thursday and Friday nights.

In 2020, Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies have been investigated after video surfaced of their patrol vehicles racing at the advanced.

A spokesperson from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office described the race as unsanctioned by directors.
