FORT WHITE, Fla. — The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is asking people who could have had current dealings with a sexual offender to come back ahead.
CCSO says Ronald Arnold, 86, was arrested Wednesday on prices associated to luring and attractive a baby. Arnold is at present a registered intercourse offender.
Detectives say the incident occurred at the Dollar Store positioned in Fort White.Â
According to an arrest report, Arnold approached a lady at the shop who was together with her kids and requested them in the event that they appreciated trains. He instructed the lady that the children might come over to his home and play with the trains of they wished.
The report says that Arnold gave the lady a chunk of paper together with his identify and tackle on it, and proceeded to verbally clarify find out how to get to his home.

She instructed police that she seemed up his identify later and located that he was within the sexual offender database.

“When I ran the Fort White Fedex route, this guy asked me if I had children. I said yes…he told me he has toy trains in his camper/home and asked me to bring the boys and drop them off one day while I work, and they could play with is train sets,” commented Joni Railey.
“He was in the hardware store and started a conversation with my son about coming to his house to see his trains! I thought it a bit odd now I know why I had that strange feeling,” commented Tami Pricket.
These accounts haven’t been verified by police.
