Record heat and severe weather threat for Sunday

For the second one day of fall, extra record-breaking heat throughout North Texas. Expect prime temperatures to achieve into the upper-90s to lower-100s for Sunday afternoon. Feels-like temperatures will climb to 109-degrees. Thus, a Heat Advisory is in impact for parts of North Texas (together with Dallas and Fort Worth) till 7 p.m. Sunday.

Our subsequent chilly entrance will arrive Sunday evening, bringing an opportunity of showers and thunderstorms. North Texas is underneath a degree 2 (SLIGHT RISK) for severe storms with the main threats of destructive winds, massive hail and in the neighborhood heavy rainfall.

Expect a quiet weather trend for subsequent week as prime temperatures ease again into the 80s and lower-90s.
