(KWTX) – A high-speed chase that started on I-35 in Central Texas ended with a feminine hostage and a gunman dead after photographs have been fired quickly after the automobile was wrecked in Fort Worth, WFAA reported Monday.

KWTX has discovered the hostage was Shaelan Jazmanique Hill and the alleged gunman was J’Quinnton Donye Hopson.

The Troy Police Department stated its officers have been dispatched to analyze reviews of a reckless driver northbound on IH-35 between Belton and Temple at about 6:20 p.m. on Sunday, August 28. The driver quickly entered the City of Troy, the place the officers observed the driving force was dashing in extra of 100 miles per hour and passing autos by driving onto the left hand shoulder.

The chase continued previous the IH-35 break up north of Hillsboro, Texas and police quickly discovered the driving force was armed with a handgun, Troy Police stated. The driver continued North on IH-35W to Fort Worth and wrecked the automobile on I-35W close to Spur 280.

Fort Worth Police Chief Neil Noakes advised WFAA in Dallas {that a} man had been holding a feminine driver hostage at gunpoint. After the wreck, officers heard a gunshot from the automobile and it “appeared the suspect had shot the driver,” WFAA reported, citing information from the police chief.

Noakes advised WFAA no less than one Fort Worth officer fired on the suspect and that site visitors congestion on the interstate made it troublesome for first responders to reach on the scene.

The gunman and the hostage each died from their wounds, Noakes stated.
