Oklahoma soccer head coach Brent Venables knew what he was saying when he stated July can be a busy recruiting month for the Sooners.

On Saturday, Oklahoma landed its fourth dedication of the week and second offensive line prospect withing 24 hours. Logan Howland, out of Princeton, New Jersey, selected Oklahoma over the likes of Iowa, Michigan, Miami (Florida), Penn State and Michigan State.

Howland, rated as three stars, in line with the 247Sports Player Composite, is the third offensive line dedication for Sooner offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh, who reeled in four-star O-line prospect Cayden Green on Friday. Howland and Green be part of Heath Ozaeta as Sooner 2023 offensive line commitments.

Bedenbaugh has really gone nationwide in securing the Sooners’ offensive line commitments for the 2023 cycle. Howland is from New Jersey, Green from Kansas City, Missouri and Ozaeta from Washington state.

Howland, who’s listed at 6 ft, 7 inches and 280 kilos, is the tenth ranked participant within the state of New Jersey within the 2023 class. He is the thirteenth dedication in Oklahoma’s 2023 class and the sixth participant to decide to the Sooners since June 27.

Despite Howland’s three-star ranking, Bedenbaugh believes he could have discovered a diamond within the tough, bolstered by the excessive curiosity seen on this offensive line prospect by a number of hiigh-profile Big Ten soccer packages.

OU’s 2023 class rating has been steadily shifting upward within the first 10 days in July. On June 27, the Sooners had eight commitments in its 2023 class, which ranked forty first within the 247Sports class rankings. As of July 10, OU now sits at No. 13.
