(CNN) — A married couple who police say was caring for a 4-year-old girl in Oklahoma has been arrested and charged after the kid’s disappearance, investigators mentioned.
Athena Brownfield was first found lacking by authorities after her younger sister was seen unattended outdoors a house in the city of Cyril — about 55 miles southwest of Oklahoma City — earlier this week, prompting officers and volunteers to launch a seek for the kid, authorities mentioned.
Alysia Adams, 31, was arrested Thursday in close by Grady County and faces two counts of little one neglect, based on the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
