“We will run out. Everybody will run out,” stated Cusack.
Cusack stated the shortage of turkey’s is making thanksgiving price extra this 12 months.
“The price of our raw material costs on the turkeys is up about 65% over last year and last year was high also. So just the shortage of turkeys is costing a lot more,” stated Cusack.
Although turkeys are costing extra this 12 months, Cusack stated their turkeys are promoting out quick.
“We’ve had standing orders with our suppliers to send us thousands and we’re getting hundreds. So, we’re trying to supply all of our customers. But it’s tough,” stated Cusack.
Despite fewer turkeys being produced forward of this 12 months’s Thanksgiving, the U.S. Department of Agriculture stated “anyone who wants a bird will be able to get one.”
