LOS ANGELES (AP) — Rules are guidelines. Animal management officers in Southern California have granted permission for just a little lady to keep a unicorn at house, supplied she follows strict pointers.
Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control this week shared a letter it acquired from a baby named Madeline.
The lady wrote: “Dear LA County, I would like your approval if I can have a unicorn in my backyard if I can find one. Please send me a letter in response.”
Director Marcia Mayeda replied with a letter together with a pre-approved unicorn license, a heart-shape license tag and a luxurious toy unicorn — till Madeline finds an actual one. Photos of the license and Madeline’s letter had been posted to the company’s social media.
The licensing letter included 5 circumstances:
“1. The unicorn should be cared for in compliance with all animal caretaking rules set forth in Los Angeles county Code Title 10.
2. The unicorn is given common entry to daylight, moonbeams and rainbows.
3. The unicorn is fed one among its favourite treats — watermelon — not less than as soon as every week.
4. The unicorn’s horn should be maintained to be in good well being. This requires sharpening not less than as soon as a month with a delicate material.
5. Any sparkles or glitter used on the unicorn should be unhazardous and biodegradable to make sure the unicorn’s good well being.”
Mayeda recommended Madeline for her “sense of responsible pet ownership.”
