Nick Saban has ‘no problem’ with Jimbo Fisher following dispute with Texas A&M coach


With the SEC conferences underway in Florida this week, Alabama head coach Nick Saban and Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher might be in the identical room for the primary time since their public dispute over NIL points in school soccer.

Saban addressed reporters about his present relationship with Fisher forward of the conferences.

“I have no problem with Jimbo at all,” Saban stated, through AL.com.

Fisher swiftly responded to Saban’s feedback earlier this month, the place Saban alleged Texas A&M “bought every player on their team.”

Fisher referred to Saban, his former boss, as “a narcissist” and stated the feedback have been “despicable.”

“I didn’t really say that anybody did anything wrong,” Saban stated. “I didn’t say anybody did anything wrong. I’ve said everything I’m going to say about this. But I think — I guess the point, and I should have never mentioned any individual institutions, I’ve said that before — but some kind of uniform name, image and likeness standard that supports some kind of some kind of equitable national competition, I think is really, really important in college athletics and college football. We’ve always had that.”

Saban was considered one of six head coaches who selected to speak to reporters. The Texas A&M coach didn’t converse to the media on Tuesday.

“Believe me, I’m all for players making as much as they can make, OK,” Saban stated. “But I also think we need to have some uniform, transparent way of doing that.”
