New Proposed Bill Could Penalize Left-Lane Drivers in Florida – NBC 6 South Florida


A brand new invoice filed in the Florida Senate would penalize drivers who keep in the left lane on sure roadways.

The bill was filed last week by Rep. Jenna Persons-Mulicka and would carry penalties for drivers who keep in the left lane with out the intent to move one other automobile.

The statute would solely apply on roads, streets or highways with two or extra lanes and a posted velocity restrict of at the least 65 mph.

Drivers who’re stopped for the violation would obtain a non-criminal site visitors infraction, punishable as a transferring violation.

If handed, the invoice would take impact on Jan. 1, 2024.
