Miami grieving family asks for help with 2022 unsolved murder in Overtown


MIAMI – Phil Phillips used to be in tears on Friday in entrance of cameras on the Miami Police Department’s headquarters.

He pleaded for help to unravel the murder of his 37-year-old son on Sept. 25, 2022, in a hectic space of Overtown.

Phillips mentioned the ones with information should “give up the no snitch rule” and the “I don’t have nothing to do with it rule.”

Surveillance video presentations two shooters working at the back of Torrell Dewey Phillips, a father of 5 who labored in landscaping.

“If you know who did it, I need you to think about how it can be your son, your daughter, your mom — it can be anybody,” the grieving mentioned.

The video presentations he rode a bicycle after visiting a nook retailer close to Northwest Third Avenue and eleventh Street. The two shooters fired at him a number of occasions ahead of fleeing in a depressing automobile, police mentioned.
