Man arrested after saying he wrapped dead mother in plastic



VAN ZANDT COUNTY, Texas — A North Texas man has been arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse after telling deputies he wrapped up his dead mother’s physique in plastic and saved it in the house for weeks, officers stated.

The Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office advised WFAA that on Feb. 20, deputies had been requested to do a welfare examine on 75-year-old Jacqueline Conrad. When deputies arrived on the dwelling in northwest Van Zandt County, they met Douglas Kilburn, who advised them that Conrad was inside the house and had died from pure causes throughout the first week of February.

Kilburn stated that he wrapped up the physique in plastic and secured it with tape, the sheriff’s workplace advised WFAA.

The sheriff’s deputies bought a search warrant that very same day and entered the house to seek out Conrad’s physique precisely as Kilburn described. Kilburn was arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse and is in the Van Zandt County Justice Center on a $50,000 bond.
