Law Firm Beats New York Malpractice Suit Alleging ‘Sham’ Counsel

A litigation boutique and one in all its companions have defeated a malpractice motion alleging that they arrange a “sham” illustration for his or her shopper who was dealing with felony motion.

Francis Assifuah, who was charged with wire fraud and cash laundering, stated his co-defendant within the case, Erdolo Eromo, launched him to his former counsel, Reuven L. Cohen and Williams Cohen LLP.

Assifuah pleaded responsible to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and mail fraud, and was sentenced to 33 months in jail, then sued Cohen and the agency. He alleged Eromo paid the defendants about $90,000 for Assifuah’s illustration, and that …
