India women star Jemimah Rodrigues joins Melbourne Stars for WBBL|08



India Women batting sensation Jemimah Rodrigues will return to the Women Big Bash League (WBBL) within the upcoming season, however with a brand new workforce.

Rodrigues has signed a contract with Melbourne Stars for the 2022-23 season, beginning in October. She will turn out to be the primary Indian participant to symbolize the Stars within the WBBL.

Notably, Rodrigues had represented Melbourne Renegades within the earlier season, scoring 333 runs at a strike price of over 116. The right-handed batter, nonetheless, will miss the Stars’ first couple of matches, on account of worldwide commitments, with India competing within the Women’s Asia Cup in Bangladesh working from October 1-16.

Rodrigues is the third Indian to sign for WBBL|08, alongside captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who has returned to the Renegades, and Pooja Vastrakar – signed up by Brisbane Heat.
