Roy, Cloud and Self introduced themselves as good-faith negotiators who had no private beef with McCarthy and appeared open to determining a management deal from the get-go.

After McCarthy agreed to many of the holdouts’ calls for, together with the reinstatement of a longstanding House rule that will permit any single member to name a vote to oust him from workplace, a number of colleagues flipped.
