OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – As heavy thunderstorms proceed to maneuver via central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service is warning drivers to be cautious on the roads.
A flash flood warning has been issued for the next counties:
- McClain
- Pontotoc
- Coal
- Garvin
- Canadian
- Cleveland
- Oklahoma
- Grady
- Caddo.
Officials say radar signifies that a number of inches of rain have already fallen, which is inflicting small creeks and streams to flood.
It can also be inflicting a problem for drivers on native roadways.
If you need to be out on the roads, ensure you don’t drive into flood waters.
