FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth detectives have began investigating a lethal shooting that concerned officers Saturday night.
Police stated they acquired a 911 name on Jan. 7 at 5:45 p.m. from a lady saying her grownup son was in her residence and presumably armed with a knife.
Officers acquired to the scene within the 3500 block of Wedgworth Road South and noticed the person with what they described as “a large machete style knife.” According to police, officers advised the person to drop the knife.
Two officers shot the person after he “presented the officers with a deadly threat,” police stated. He obtained medical support however was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
