Florida Shows Out on Day 2 of U.S. Open


GREENSBORO, NC. – The Florida males’s and ladies’s swimming and diving group completed the second day of the Toyota U.S. Open with six top-five finishes, together with a file swim by volunteer coach Katie Ledecky within the first occasion of the night time.

Katie Ledecky, to no shock, completed first at 4:02.51, advancing to the A-final alongside 2023 signee Michaela Mattes, who got here in third.
 
Jake Mitchell (fifth) and Alfonso Mestre (seventh) certified for the A-final, whereas Eric Brown and Oskar Lindholm completed twelfth and fifteenth, respectively, to earn B-final bids. 2023 signee Amadeusz Knop earned a C-final look.
 
200m IM:
Freshman Zoe Dixon continued her spectacular stretch, ending fourth at 2:16.59 to qualify for the A-final.
 
Former Gator Mark Szaranek touched the wall in 2:03.05 to complete seventh and safe a spot within the A-final, whereas 2023 Signee Caleb Maldari earned a B-final look.
