Fiery crash in Lewisville along northbound I-35E



No one was injured in the crash, however northbound lanes of the freeway have been closed and visitors has been diverted to the entry highway.

LEWISVILLE, Texas — A tractor trailer and passenger car have been concerned in a fiery crash Saturday night, closing down a number of lanes of visitors.

Lewisville firefighters and police have been referred to as to the accident round 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2400 block of northbound I-35 close to FM 3040, officers say. 

Lewisville Fire Department says a the 2 autos crashed into one another, inflicting the tractor to catch on hearth and separate from the trailer, which broke into a number of items. One of the broken-off items was one of many trailer’s axles, which hit an overhead road signal. 

The two individuals in the passenger car weren’t harm, officers added, and the driving force of the tractor trailer was strolling round and speaking to first responders on the scene, and was later taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening accidents.

It’s unclear at the moment how the 2 autos crashed into one another, officers say. 

The tractor and trailer are complete losses, officers added, and the hit road signal might have to be changed as properly after TXDOT inspects it.

All northbound lanes of I-35E are closed, officers detailed, in addition to the specific toll lane. All visitors has ben diverted to the service highway.
