During Jacksonville stop, First Lady Casey DeSantis announces more than $45M raised for Florida Disaster Fund


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis was in Jacksonville on Monday to speak about Hurricane Ian aid.

At a day news convention, she introduced more than $45 million has been raised to this point for the Florida Disaster Fund.

She made the announcement at Adamec Harley-Davidson of Baymeadows, which is donating cash from T-shirt gross sales.

The spouse of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis mentioned the state gained’t end till everyone affected by Ian is again on their ft and recovering.

“Being on the ground and talking to a lot of folks, they lived in areas where they didn’t think they needed flood insurance. This was a 500-year flood, and they’re looking for pathways to be able to rebuild,” she mentioned. “With the $45 million that we’re doing, we’re going to ensure we can help them every way we can to get them back on their feet.”
