MOUNT DORA, Fla. (AP) — A pair dwelling in a central Florida retirement community was found slain in their residence, and a lady who was seen driving the couple’s automobile has been arrested.
The couple, Darryl Getman, 83, and his spouse, Sharon, 80, had been believed to have been killed on Saturday in their residence in Mount Dora, Florida, positioned about 30 miles northwest of Orlando.
A lady found driving the couple’s automobile was arrested on car theft. Authorities wouldn’t establish her or say the place she was arrested.
The lady entered the condominium advanced the place the couple lived on Friday afternoon, “dressed in a particular way,” and was escorted out by safety, Mount Dora Interim Police Chief Mike Gibson stated Tuesday at a news convention.
Later that evening, she went to an condominium in the retirement community and requested the resident if she might take a bathe, the Associated Press reported. The resident hit a safety panic button, and the girl fled, the police chief stated.
About three hours later, in a single day Saturday, safety digital camera video captured the Getman’s automobile being pushed out of the retirement community.

We appreciate all the support we have received. It just shows how well thought of our parents were.
We have every confidence in Chief Michael Gibson and the Mount Dora PD and Special Agent Lee Massie and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. They and their teams have worked tirelessly together and with other agencies to solve this crime. We look forward to a successful resolution.
