Burleson police: Woman dead after shooting on Wilshire Blvd.



The Burleson Police Department says the sufferer was a bystander who was driving within the space and “misplaced her life in a really aggressive and daring act of violence.”

BURLESON, Texas — Six individuals have been arrested for a “variety of offenses” in a freeway shooting that left a 64-year-old lady dead within the crossfire, the Burleson Police Department mentioned in a news launch Monday.

Around 6 p.m. Friday, June 24, Burleson Public Safety and Burleson cops had been known as to the 300 and 400 blocks of Wilshire Boulevard on the median of Interstate 35W following a shooting incident, officers mentioned. 

When they arrived, a girl was pronounced dead on the scene, and one other individual was transported to an area hospital, based on police. 

The sufferer, recognized by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as 64-year-old Kathryn Bryan, died from a gunshot wound to the pinnacle.

The Burleson Police Department mentioned Bryan was an harmless bystander who was driving within the space and “lost her life in a very aggressive and daring act of violence in the middle of a heavily-traveled roadway.” 

Police started arresting suspects early Saturday, and by the night, all six individuals believed to be concerned within the shooting had been in custody. 

The suspects haven’t been recognized right now, however police mentioned they don’t seem to be from the Burleson space.

“We will continue to make updates on the case and will provide the names of the suspects and the final charges after our detectives are able to meet with the district attorney this week,” the Burleson Police Department mentioned.
