SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is warning the general public to by no means go away meals or “anything that smells like food” in their automobiles after a black bear bought caught inside a car and died on Wednesday.
In a Facebook put up shared the day after the incident, the TWRA stated it believed the bear had used its “teeth or paws” to open the unlocked door of a car parked by a rental property in Sevierville. The bear then turned trapped inside after the door closed behind it.
It was 95 levels F on Wednesday, however TWRA officers consider temperatures inside the car might have exceeded 140 levels.
