A gas station taqueria chain will open a new restaurant, The Reserve, in Las Colinas

The homeowners of a gas station taqueria chain are opening a new restaurant in Irving’s Las Colinas.

Called The Reserve, the restaurant will serve elevated and genuine Mexican fare, specializing in meals from Taxco, a city southwest of Mexico City.

The Reserve is an extension of Taqueria Taxco, which opened in 2009 in a small gas station in east Dallas. Owner Monica Reza now runs 18 areas throughout Dallas-Fort Worth, all at gas stations.

This is the second location for The Reserve, which is run by Reza and companion Vivek Sharma. The first opened earlier this 12 months on the Dallas Farmers Market, and a third location is deliberate for Euless.

Its menu consists of flautas, enchiladas, tortas, empanadas and trompo tacos with pork cooked from a vertical roasting spit. It additionally serves a number of soups, like pozole, menudo and caldo de res, a Mexican beef soup, and caldo taxqueño, a rooster soup with chipotle sauce, avocado and queso fresco.
