78-year-old South Florida woman says she was high after caught shoplifting from Saks


BOCA RATON, Fla. – A South Florida woman faces expenses grand theft expenses after allegedly shoplifting from a Boca Raton Saks Fifth Avenue retailer.

Susan Stone, 78, was arrested by Boca Raton Police on the Town Center at Boca Raton on Oct. 11 after the shop’s loss prevention employees reported she was shoplifting.

According to a police report, Stone hid clothes inside her purse and went into the toilet. Employees reported discovering 5 tags within the trash valued at simply over $1,000.

An officer mentioned Stone advised him she didn’t notice what she was doing as a result of she was below the affect of her prescribed marijuana.

Stone was booked into the Palm Beach County jail and has since been launched.
