Early Morning Storms Move Across Parts Of Oklahoma

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch stays in impact for a number of counties in Oklahoma on Monday morning.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) the watch is at the moment in place for Garfield, Kay, Kingfisher, Logan and Noble counties till 4 a.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Garfield, Kay and Noble counties till 12:15 a.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Garfield, Kay, Kingfisher, Lincoln, Logan, Noble and Payne counties till 4 a.m.

According to News 9 Meteorologist David Payne, storms are shifting throughout Northern Oklahoma to the NE at about 35 MPH.

Payne mentioned he expects heavy rain, small hail and plenty of lighting because the storm progresses. There is an opportunity a number of of the storms might develop into extreme in a single day.
