“Multiple” people have been killed as two planes collided over an airport on California’s central coast, authorities stated Thursday.
The variety of deaths wasn’t instantly clear, stated Michelle Pulido, a spokeswoman for town of Watsonville.
Pulido stated the planes crashed at Watsonville Municipal Airport simply earlier than 3 p.m. because it was attempting to land.
The Federal Aviation Administration described the planes in an announcement as a twin-engine Cessna 340 with two people on board and a single-engine Cessna 152 with one individual aboard. They have been on their ultimate approaches after they collided, the company stated.
