Palm Beach County teacher charged with bringing gun, knife to campus

ROYAL BEACH BEACH — A Royal Palm Beach High School teacher is facing criminal charges after faculty district police say he introduced a loaded handgun and a knife to campus Thursday.

Officers took Robert Krasnicki into custody after studying he was in possession in of a 9 mm handgun and a pocket knife that had a 3 1/2-inch lengthy blade, in accordance to his arrest report.

Circuit Judge Kirk Volker on Friday granted the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office a brief order to take away Krasnicki’s weapons beneath Florida’s purple flag legislation, handed in 2018 in response to the mass taking pictures at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. It permits the removing of weapons when law-enforcement businesses consider an individual could also be a menace to themselves or others.
