TAMPA, Fla.  — A 5-month-old child suffered a gunshot wound on Saturday afternoon in Tampa after a 3-year-old obtained ahold of the weapon and accidentally shot the infant, based on police.

TPD stated it occurred shortly after 1 p.m. in the 8300 block of seventeenth Street. Paula Marie Concepcion Santos, 25, was arrested and charged with little one neglect with nice bodily hurt.

Police stated the infant was shot in the hip and was instantly taken to Tampa General for remedy. The toddler’s accidents do not seem like life-threatening, police stated.
