Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Netherlands worldwide Wout Weghorst on loan till the top of the season.
The tall striker was recognized as a short-term answer to United’s lack of depth up entrance, although the Red Devils needed to navigate a switch triangle of themselves, dad or mum membership Burnley and loan aspect Besiktas.
The finer particulars have been smoothed out and United have now confirmed the deal.

It’s the second move in the January transfer window to a Premier League club for Weghorst, who joined the Clarets from Wolfsburg last year. He managed two goals in 20 games as they were relegated but has been in better form in Turkey this campaign.

He netted nine times in 18 appearances in all competitions, while he also attracted attention for his starring role in the Netherlands’ eventual World Cup exit at the hands of Argentina.
Having gone 2-0 down in the quarter finals, Weghorst brought his side level by creating chaos in the Albiceleste box, scoring twice to force extra time- including a 101th-minute equaliser from a free kick routine. He scored in the shootout but misses from Virgil van Dijk and Steven Berghuis sealed their elimination as Argentina went on to win the tournament.
