Sons of ex-NFL quarterbacks Kurt Warner, Josh McCown to square off in UTSA vs. Temple game

Warner and McCown will probably be again at the box once more this weekend in Philadelphia. No, the 2005 Arizona Cardinals don’t seem to be enjoying the Eagles in an alumni game. The sons of Kurt Warner and Josh McCown will probably be going head-to-head when UTSA performs Temple.

Back in 2005, the Cardinals signed Kurt Warner, and his backup that season used to be Josh McCown. Now, 18 years later, E.J. Warner will lead the Owls towards Owen McCown and the Roadrunners.

E.J. Warner has been the beginning quarterback for Temple all through the 2023 season, whilst Owen McCown is serving in its place for the injured Frank Harris.

This makes me really feel a bit outdated:

In 2005, Warner and McCown each were given begins when the previous went down with damage. Warner finished 64.5% of his passes for two,713 yards, 11 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. McCown hooked up on 60.4% of his throws for 1,836 yards, 9 touchdowns and 11 alternatives.

Entering this conflict between their sons, Temple sits at 2-3 at the 12 months, and Warner continues to be making an attempt to get his footing in the back of heart. Warner, a former three-star recruit, has 1,269 yards, seven touchdowns and 5 interceptions at the 12 months.

With Harris out due to damage, McCown were given the beginning for UTSA towards Tennessee on Sept. 23, and he treated himself neatly. McCown finished 18 of his 20 passing makes an attempt for 170 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

Warner and McCown will step at the box in combination, simply as their fathers did 18 years in the past, when the Owls and Roadrunners kick off at 2:00 p.m. ET this Saturday.
