SAN ANTONIO – The seek for an meantime college board trustee continues within the North East Independent School District.
Board participants voted to hold four more interviews for its open District 2 seat on Monday night time.
Trustee Terri Williams, who served because the board’s vp, died in August. She would had been up for re-election in 2026.
The district is composed of NEISD’s southeastern area, simply east of I-35 and Austin Highway, from Toepperwein Road to Fort Sam Houston.
Trustees started interviewing 8 applicants previous this month.
It’s unclear when the board may just make a last choice. Whoever is appointed will function the meantime District 2 trustee till the May election.
