Police: Woman kept mom’s body in freezer to keep collecting disability benefits

MIAMI – A Florida girl is going through legal expenses after being accused of sticking the lifeless body of her aged mom in a freezer inside her house so she may keep collecting her disability benefits.

Police recognized the girl as 64-year-old Michele Hoskins. 

According to CBS News affiliate 12 News, neighbors grew to become involved after Marie Hoskins, 93, disappeared.

When police performed a welfare verify, they discovered the body of the aged girl in a freezer inside the home. 

Detectives advised CBS12.com that the daughter admitted to discovering her mom lifeless, after which shopping for a deep freezer to keep her mom’s demise a secret.

She advised detectives that she did what she did, so she would proceed getting her mom’s disability benefits.
