PEARLAND, Texas — Pearland police are investigating the capturing loss of life of a 6-year-old.
Officers found the kid dead after responding to a choice of a gunshot wound at an condo complicated on Shadow Creek Parkway. Police mentioned they could not inform if the kid were given a grasp of the gun or if their father pulled the cause.
“That’s what we’re trying to figure out,” Chad Rogers with the Pearland Police Department mentioned. “Our investigators are very thorough. Obviously, a tragic loss of a child. It’s going to be a very rough thorough investigation. There’s a lot to be done still with regard to the autopsy, whenever that happens. So as of right now, this is still too early to tell exactly what happened to that child.
No charges have been filed directly to the child’s death, but their father was taken into custody on a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.
An investigation is ongoing.
