OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – An Oklahoma state senator says he has filed a measure that may lock in Daylight Saving Time year-round.
Sen. Blake Stephens, (R-Tahlequah), says he has filed Senate Bill 7, which requires Oklahoma to stay on Daylight Saving Time.
“I could go on and on about why it is beneficial to remain in DST,” Stephens stated. “Just one instance is Oklahoma having one of many highest charges of childhood weight problems, which could possibly be combatted with having an additional hour of daylight in the night for train and outside actions. This is a commonsense bill that may assist us in our efforts to turn out to be a more healthy state.
