Oklahoma continues to remain extremely lively within the switch portal.

The Sooners made one more addition on Tuesday, gaining a dedication from Michigan switch extensive receiver Andrel Anthony Jr.

A 3-star recruit within the 2021 class, Anthony pulled in 19 receptions for 328 yards and 4 touchdowns in his first two collegiate seasons with the Wolverines, showing in 26 video games.

He was named Big Ten co-Freshman of the Week in his first 12 months after a two-score, 155-yard outing in a win over in-state rival Michigan State.

With star wideout Marvin Mims off to the NFL and Theo Wease transferring to Missouri, the Sooners had a necessity of their extensive receiver room and have now bolstered that with the addition of Anthony.

His dedication comes on the heels of the reported hiring of Emmett Jones as Oklahoma’s new receivers coach, after L’Damian Washington served because the interim for the 2022 season.

Anthony now joins a receiver room headlined by Jalil Farooq and Drake Stoops and supplemented by rising younger gamers equivalent to Jayden Gibson and Nic Anderson.

It had been no secret how aggressive the Sooners had been in searching for pass-catchers within the switch portal this winter, with them making a key addition right here to assist bolster what shall be Jones’ first group in Norman.
