The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation provides its newest Oklahoma fishing report.

NORTHEAST

Grand: January 6. Elevation is regular, water temperature 52°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level) Largemouth bass honest on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits round brush construction, docks, and shorelines. Blue catfish gradual on reduce bait, shad, and shrimp beneath the dam, docks, and principal lake. Crappie good on hair jigs, jigs, and spoons round brush construction and docks. Greenleaf: January 8. Elevation is 2.5 ft. beneath regular, water temperature 46°F and clear. Largemouth bass good on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, jerk baits, plastic baits, and spinnerbaits round coves, docks, factors, and shorelines. Blue, channel, and flathead catfish honest on hen liver, reduce bait, minnows, and shad round coves and docks. Crappie honest on hair jigs, jigs, and slabs round brush construction and docks. Kaw: January 9. Elevation is regular, water temperature 40°F and clear. Blue, channel, and flathead catfish honest on reduce bait, punch bait, and stinkbait round dam, principal lake, and river channel. Lower Illinois: January 6. Elevation is regular, water temperature 48°F and clear. Rainbow trout good on caddis flies, in-line spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs, and EnergyBait beneath the dam. Comments: Best instances are early morning and late night beneath the dam and on the Watts space. Report submitted by Brek Henry, sport warden stationed in Sequoyah County.

Perry CCC: January 8. Elevation is regular, water temperature 45°F and murky. Rainbow trout honest on dough bait, in-line spinnerbaits, EnergyBait, and worms round coves, dam, and flats. Report submitted by Stephen Paul, sport warden stationed in Noble County.

Sooner: January 8. Elevation is regular, water temperature 45°F and clear. Striped bass hybrids honest on reside shad round principal lake. Largemouth bass honest on plastic baits round principal lake. Saugeye honest on crankbaits, jigs, and reside shad round principal lake. Blue, channel, and flathead catfish honest on hen liver, reduce bait, shad, and shrimp beneath the dam, coves, and river channel. Largemouth, smallmouth, and noticed bass honest on jerk baits, and tube jigs round brush construction, creek channels, rocks, and shorelines. Crappie honest on hair jigs, jigs, and minnows round brush construction, creek channels, factors, river channel, and standing timber. Blue, channel, and flathead catfish honest on hen liver, reduce bait, dough bait, reside shad, stinkbait, and sunfish beneath the dam, channels, coves, docks, factors, and river channel. Crappie gradual on grubs, hair jigs, jigs, minnows, and nymphs round brush construction, coves, docks, factors, and standing timber. Comments: Fishing this week has been good. Striper are being caught on reside shad and lifeless sticking. Catfish are being caught on reside shad and reduce bait close to channels and flat areas with a tough backside.
