MEANS. YEAH, GUYS, WE ARE IN A BURN BAN HERE IN OKLAHOMA CITY, BUT YOU CAN STILL USE YOUR BARBECUE GRILLS. YOU JUST HAVE TO BE VERY SAFE WITH THEM. THE LITTLE BIT OF RAIN THAT WE’VE GOT TODAY IS JUST NOT NEAR ENOUGH FOR US TO CLIMB OUT OF THIS BURN BAN YET A FRIENDLY REMINDER FROM OKC FIRE THE CITY AND OKLAHOMA COUNTY ARE IN A BURN BAN THIS WEEKEND AND THAT COMES WITH RULES. EVEN IF YOU HAVE PERMITS, IF YOU DO HAVE A BRUSH PILOT BURN PART OF YOUR NEED TO BURN AND YOU DO HAVE A BURN PERMIT, YOU CANNOT DO THAT WHILE WE’RE IN A BURN BAN. IF YOU’RE COOKING FOR THE RED RIVER RIVALRY, YOU CAN STILL FIRE UP THE GRILL. JUST BE SMART ABOUT IT. WE UNDERSTAND FOOTBALL SEASON. PEOPLE LIKE TO GRILL OUTDOOR GRILLS ARE FINE. WE JUST ASK THAT YOU DON’T LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED. A LOT OF PEOPLE WILL START A FIRE OR AN OUTDOOR COOKING DEVICE AND THEN THEY WILL LEAVE. CHARCOAL AND GAS GRILLS ARE JUST FINE, BUT KEEP AN EYE ON THEM. CENTRAL OKLAHOMA IS BEHIND ON RAINFALL FOR THE YEAR, SO FIRE RISK IS HIGHER. THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES IF YOU DON’T FOLLOW THE RULES. YOU COULD FACE UP TO A $500 FINE AND SOME JAIL TIME. SO JUST BEAR WITH US ANY DRY TIME. THE BURN BAN IN OKLAHOMA COUNTY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL OCTOBER 17TH, BUT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CAN DECIDE TO PULL IT BACK BEFORE THEN. IF THEY THINK IT’S SAFE TO DO SO. AND THAT BURN BAN WAS PUT IN PLACE ON MONDAY, EARLIER THIS
