MAYES COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) – Authorities are investigating after a stolen automobile was recovered from an area lake.
On Thursday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s Dive Team responded to Fort Gibson Lake, simply north of Big Hollow Creek.
Officials say divers have been capable of finding a stolen automobile in about 25 toes of water on the east fringe of the lake.
The automobile that was recovered was a 2008 pink Chevy Silverado.
After pulling it from the water, it was turned over to the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office for additional investigation.
