Issues with air traffic management causes flight delays throughout South Florida.

Airports throughout Florida are experiencing delays as a result of points with air traffic computer systems, the Federal Aviation Administration mentioned Monday.

The FAA mentioned in a press release Monday afternoon that it “has slowed the volume of traffic into Florida airspace due to an air traffic computer issue that is being resolved.”

The Federal Aviation Administration had positioned a floor cease on flights coming in to Florida, however has since canceled it.

At Miami International Airport, departure delays had been as much as and hour and 45 minutes and rising as of about 2:30 p.m. ET, FlightAware reported.

At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, flights had been experiencing departure delays as much as 90 minutes.
