FWFD recover fire truck stolen from motel



The truck was shortly recovered with minimal injury to its entrance. Officials mentioned nobody was injured, and nobody has been arrested.

FORT WORTH, Texas — A Fort Worth Fire Department fire truck was stolen — then shortly recovered — as firefighters had been responding to a name Wednesday night, the division mentioned.

Firefighters first responded to a medical help request on the Delux Inn Motel positioned at 4451 S. Freeway at about 7:36 p.m. on Wednesday. 

Engine 17 arrived on the scene about six minutes later, and nearly 10 minutes after that, a person informed the crew within the motel foyer their fire truck had been stolen, officers mentioned. 

Officials mentioned crews then stepped outdoors simply in time to see the engine leaving the scene, and instantly known as the police.

Police shortly discovered the engine a brief distance away, officers mentioned. No one was discovered within the truck when it was recovered simply northeast of the Seminary/I-35 service highway intersection at 4313 S. Freeway, officers added.
