Four dead after suspect opens fire on officer serving eviction notice in Arizona


A regulation enforcement officer and a suspect had been amongst 4 individuals who had been killed Thursday in Arizona after the officer tried to serve an eviction notice, authorities stated.

Tucson Police Sgt. Richard Gradillas recognized the officer in an announcement as Pima County Constable Deborah Martinez-Garibay, 43.

The constable and a fancy worker had been serving the notice at an house advanced northeast of downtown Tucson when pictures had been fired shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday, Gradillas stated.

In a statement, Sharon Bronson, the chair of the Pima County Board of Supervisors, stated that constables “perform a difficult and important job for the people of this county.”

“They often encounter people at their most vulnerable and emotional, yet all perform their duties with professionalism and compassion.

“I’m heartbroken at this horrible tragedy and I’ll preserve Constable Martinez and all who knew and liked her in my ideas,” Bronson stated.
