Florida man arrested after package reportedly containing drugs was delivered to neighbor – WFTV

MARCO ISLAND, Fla. — A man was arrested in Marco Island, Florida, after a package reportedly containing drugs was delivered to a neighbor as an alternative of him, in accordance to officers.

In a news release from the Marco Island Police Department, Ryan Hunter Bluestone was arrested after his package was by chance delivered to a neighbor with the same title.

The package was reportedly addressed to “the Ryan family,” in accordance to WINK.

According to WINK, the field had a purple envelope inside with a Christmas card. Inside the cardboard, the neighbor reportedly discovered drugs.

MIPD stated the neighbors discovered a “white powdery substance,” and so they known as the police to take away the package from their home.

MIPD stated that Bluestone went to the station to declare the package that reportedly contained drugs. He was arrested.

“Never mail illegal drugs to yourself, and definitely don’t claim them from the Police Department,” MIPD stated.
